Jim Johnson

Jim Johnson is the President of Jim Johnson Pontiac-Nissan-Mitsubishi and University Hyundai-Subaru-Isuzu in Bowling Green. Jim was chosen as KADA's Time Magazine Quality Dealer Award Nominee in 1998.

Jim was born in Morgantown, but spent much of his childhood in Canada and Detroit, graduating from high school in Detroit and attending Wayne State University. Jim served as a Detroit police officer and was a federal agent with the U.S. Treasury Department.

From 1970-1973 Jim was G.M. of Johnson-Kitchens Ford in Russellville, and in 1973 he obtained the Nissan franchise in Bowling Green, adding Pontiac in 1984 and Mitsubishi in 1990.

Very active in civic and church activities, Jim is currently the Pontiac "Leader of Distinction" Dealer, active in the Salvation Army, Crimestoppers, and the Pregnancy Support Center. Jim Johnson has been Kentucky's DEAC Chairman for several years.

Jim and Darlene Johnson have two daughters, Kim and Lynda, and three grandchildren. Family, church activities and flying (Jim is a pilot) are favorite pastimes.
