"CrimeFighter Corvette Honored Nationally "

Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon, and Warren County Sheriff Jerry "Peanuts" Gaines announced this morning that the Warren County "DARE Corvette" and its pilot, Captain Joe Jakub, Project Director of the Warren County Sheriff’s Prevention Partnership, have been selected by the Presidential Inaugural Committee in Washington, DC to participate in the 54^th Presidential Inaugural Parade on January 20^th, 2001. The Defense Department advised that only two entries from the State of Kentucky were selected and the "CrimeFighter" project should be extremely proud of this prestigious distinction. The selection criteria involved several elements including the unique patriotic design created by graphics artist, Luis Solis (Bowling Green), Clay Bilyeu, of Clays Auto Body in Russelville and Project Director, Captain Jakub. Most importantly the project mission and results of "Keeping Kids Off Drugs" was a major consideration in the selection process.
